I suppose, if I have to be honest, this is my favourite room. I love sitting and writing, looking out at Horn Head from one window, and then sitting sharing a glass of wine, looking across the courtyard and through the red gate, from the other window.
Like Bedroom Three, you used to be able to see who is putting on the 17th green, and who is driving off on the 18th tee, with Sheephaven Bay and Horn Head forming the perfect backdrop.. Unfortunately, however, due to the recent bulding of new houses, this view has been seriously depleted.
This is a particularly restful room, and when you have enjoyed your day’s allotment of fun-filled golf, horse-riding, surfing, walking, swimming, trekking, sight-seeing and sunbathing, or doing nothing, as I like to do, then snuggle down under the duck down quilt, on top of the luxurious Sealy mattress and drift off to a restful sleep.
In the morning you will waken relaxed and naturally, with the light coming into the room, so get up and open the curtains, take a glimpse of Horn Head - and go back to bed.
Plenty of time to get up later.
